Lyrical nitrate & The forbidden quest : the found-footage films of Peter Delpeut.
Two films originally distributed by Jean Desmet or exhibited in his own cinema, Lyrical nitrate is a selection of silent film fragments, constructed from old black & white and color tinted and toned nitrate films. Soundtrack is present on some of the clips and is from old recordings, ranging from Caruso to the sounds of a glass harmonica. The second film is a mockumentary that tells the fictional story of the ship Hollandia sailing near South Pole in 1905-1906 as told by ship's carpenter J.C. Sullivan. Uses the documentary style filming intermixed with archival footage actually shot during the period of real expeditions to document this fictional story of a tunnel connecting the two poles.

See no evil
"See No Evil portrays the daily life of three famous elderly apes who wpend their days in retirement, Cheeta of Tarzan fame, Kanzi, star pupil of ape linguistic studies, and a NASA space chimp now partially paralyzed. These intelligent cousins of ours reflect on their life with homo sapiens in a sometimes bitter, poetic recapture of the strange but intriguing relationships. The viewer is left to consider on their own the ethics and implications of our actions, no matter how well intended, now and in the past."--Cover.
